Golden Oldies Thursdays Challenge hosted by The Crumpet (Facebook group: The Crumpet’s Nail Tarts)

This was a fun prompt because most of my “oldies” are pink from before I did nail art!

I decided to do a Valentine’s marble for the GOT challenge and finish with a stamp for the Nail-Art-A-Go-Go challenge. (2 in 1!!) However, because of my current flare-up my hand slipped up and I totally butchered it…on every single nail. Talk about frustrations! 😦

ImageI used 2 coats of Sephora by OPI Metro Chic as my base.

I marbled with China Glaze Fuchsia, Caribbean Temptation and Zoya Reece. Question: I cannot marble with Zoya polishes to save my life. China Glaze polishes work so well. Does anyone have any tricks for Zoya polishes?

I wanted to add a very light layer of Zoya Kissy over each nail but I forgot how dense the glitter was and I lost sight of the marble on my index finger.  To pull the look together I added a layer to my ring finger too. (Just as well since I had a couple of air bubbles on both fingers ;))

Even though the black polish went pretty thick I love the 3D look it adds to this manicure!  I have to gush about this look, I Really Really LOVE it!

3 coats Sephora by OPI Metro Chic as my base.

Dots done with Urban Decay Naked Toasted, Smog, and Hustle.

1 coat Seche Vite.

I do not own striping tape so I cut up small pieces of masking tape.

1 thick coat Wet n Wild Black Creme.

This is my submission for the Crumpet’s Golden Oldie Thursday Polish Challenge!

These are the only polishes I’ve had over a year…I know, I know…even though I have not been blogging that long, I have always loved nail polish. However, I do a “polish cleanse” every six months or so and get rid of polishes with changed consistencies!

Enjoy! A simple water-color but I love how this came out!

China Glaze Fuchsia and one thick coat Julie G JetSet top coat as my base.

China Glaze Caribbean Temptation and OPI Red Lights Ahead…Where? for the water-coloring.
