I really wanted to practice my stamping. When I first started doing it I was just awful at it so I put it to the side for a while. I think stamping is so versatile and I know I need to get better at it.
I think the “Picasso Swirl” technique is just so fun. I tried two different looks in this manicure. The first I just swirled each color separately and the second I mixed the colors a little more.
I didn’t notice the line on my index nail until the polishes had dried. I thought there was a scratch on the plate…Nope, it was a little piece of cat hair!
I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “White On” as my base. Any suggestions on a better good white?
For the stamping, I used Bundle Monster plate “BM 306” and Wet n Wild “Black Creme”.
For the swirl, I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear “White On”, and Color Club “Almost Famous”, “Wham! Pow!”.

Love this mani, CANDY 2.0 = spun sugar AND candy corn : )
And I agree, stamping is super versatile, I looove it.
I actually compared the SH White On with another white of mine a few days ago, I don’t really like White On, it’s like tipex, no wonder you’re asking for suggestions 😉
If you want a very pretty, flattering white, I recommend Essie Blanc (I have pics of it here http://thiskittenhasklaws.wordpress.com/2013/10/20/if-you-aint-blanc-you-aint-right/ ) or if you want something more opaque, aaaalmost a one coater, especially for under stamping Sinful Colors Snow Me White is cool, much better formula than White On too. But really, Blanc is all you need, awesome under stamping and BEAUTIFUL on its own. And you an always use up White on for nail art : )
Hope that helps, take care ; )
Thanks! I thought this was really cute!
Thank you for the suggestion! I have actually tried Essie Blanc and while I did not have any complaints about the formula initially it dried out relatively quickly and became unusable. I gave different bottles a couple of tries and still got the same results!! 😦
I will definitely try out Sinful Colors – the polishes I’ve tried from them I liked so hopefully I have better luck with them.
