Born Pretty Store review, stamping

Products mentioned were sent for review. Opinions are my own.

Y’all know I love abstract designs so it’s no surprise this Born Pretty Store stamping plate called out to me!

I had no issues with transfer or application except a bit of smearing during top coat application but that was pure human error.

Some products mentioned were provided for review. Opinions are my own.

I have tried many a stamping plate from Born Pretty Store but I have never tried a stamping nail polish from the company! I was very interested when I saw the new versions so I immediately added one to my list for review.

It’s a little thin for a stamping polish so it’s a bit sheer on darker nail polish (not pictured) however, on light colors it looks very nice. I haven’t tried darker shades but this specific yellow is easy to clean up and does not stain my cuticles or nail beds.

Scroll down to see the look I came up with! I say it’s floral but it reminds me more of a 70’s wallpaper…

stamping, valentine's day

It’s February which means love is finally in the air; even if the merchandise has been out since Boxing Day! It’s time for everyone to start sharing their festive Valentine’s Day nail art looks and I don’t plan on being the exception.

In the spirit of keeping things “arthritis-friendly” I’m startin with simple stamped hearts. I used single heart images and put them along one edge of the nail. Random placement makes for less dexterity and less anxiety on perfection! Random is my friend, lol.

I hope you like this easy, simple yet lovely nail art! Let me know in the comments.

I kind of went overboard with this festive nail lok but I kind of love how it turned out. I just wish my camera picked up the colors a bit better. I had to add contrast while editing the photo because I couldn’t see the snowflakes too well.

I thought it was was fitting to use a holiday stamper for this look so I used my new Born Pretty Store dark festive stamper. I was totally drawn to this one because of the dark blue and gold scheme and loved the shimmery navy stamper head. Though, I have to admit I am no longer used to opaque squishy stampers. I prefer my clear one since I can see exactly where I place the image on my nail. This being said, this new one picked up the images nicely and transferred them well to the nail surface but I think I will reserve it for marbling and reverse stamping.

I hope you like this look as much as I do! I don’t usually do multiple stampings since I think one layer looks elegant enough but I just felt like more was more is more in this case!

I had a vision for today’s look but it didn’t quit pan out the way I wanted. However, I love the final result so much more!! I started stamping with my new Born Pretty Store geometric plate (how fitting) and away I went.

I have so many flower stamp designs from multiple brands but I always gravitate towards the lone one from Bundle Monster. This year, I made a conscious decision to use the other multiple flower patterns collecting dust in their protective sleeves.

I always wanted to try a flower on vine type look. Did I pull it off? I have mixed feelings about the final product. What do you think?

Wow…I just realized I only used OPI polishes from the 2016 Washington DC Fall collection! Total coincidence but the colors were perfect for today’s look.

I always struggle with animal print prompts. As it is, I am not the biggest fan of them in art so I guess the challenges lies with what I think looks good on the nail. This year, I stretched the prompt to animal footprints! Because…they are technically an animal’s prints…right??

I am not too keen on this look — the stamp is too big for my nails but it is what it is and I move on.
