A week late but I am finally feeling better! The weather is nice so I am feeling less “spongy”. I am climbing more and trying to not push myself too much. I am less inflamed!
Unfortunately, this blasted hand tremor made plans to stick around longer so I am working on nail art that does not require the upmost precision.
Sam’s nail art theme last week was “Something New” (Facebook group linked here) so I took the opportunity to try a new technique: Distressed Nails!
I used 3 coats of American Apparel Parakeet as my base.
I “distressed” with Zoya Giovanna, Color Club Pucci-licious and Wet n Wild Black Creme.
I also used 1 generous coat of Seche Vite to seal it in.
Hi, my name is Monica and I have RA.
Very nice. 🙂 I can’t do those brushstroke manis to save my life, but yours is pretty awesome.

I love the colors you used. I’ve been meaning to try out the distressed look for ages, but haven’t gotten around to it. It IS a great idea for a manicure that doesn’t require fine detail and a very steady hand ❤

Thank you!! I agree! I no longer have super steady hands so I gravitate towards the more abstract nail arts. Anyways, I think they are more fun since they always turn out differently! 🙂
