Debbie from The Crumpet is hosting another Nail Art challenge. But instead of a challenge it is a learning game! Every week she will post the prompt and we try our best at each one! As we progress through the challenge, we will see others’ interpretations on the prompt, share tips and tricks, and sort through difficulties.

When I read about the SIMPLES challenge (her blog post linked here) I knew I would take part! I am new to the nail art universe and I am always down to learn new tricks and support other nail polish enthusiasts!

I hope you enjoy mine! I decided to pull out a rather unloved neon orange polish from the depths of my stash. It saw the light for a few minutes then returned to the back of the shelf.

 

I used 2 coats Color Club Wham! Pow! as my base. I keep this in my collection because I have no other neon oranges but I do not like it. The formula is tacky, not thick or gloopy, just, tacky. So, it is not ideal for water marbling or nail art. Poor unloved nail polish. I’d love any recommendations on good neon orange polishes so I can put this poor Color Club out of its misery and retire it!

I layered Serum No. 5 Fallen on my pinky until I liked the result.
