Nail Art Ideas Linkup second May theme is clouds! A theme I am very familiar with this week! We were hit with a week-long thunderstorm with a very arbitrary rain schedule and nasty humidity. But, funnily enough, just as I came up with a manicure idea the clouds parted and the sun shone through. I decided to inject a little color into a previously “stormy” manicure.

I incorporated the Nimbus technique, freehand and stamping.

Initially, I wanted large clouds but the only stamps I had were for thin, long ones. I worked quickly to smear them with Seche Vite top coat. It worked! I kept the shape of the clouds but smeared/extended the bottoms. I especially like how the ring finger came out!

 

I used 2 coats of butter London Cotton Buds as my base.

I used the Nimbus technique with Zoya Reece, American Apparel Parakeet, Color Club Pucci-licious, and Urban Outfitters Blue Velvet.

I freehanded with Essie No Place Like Chrome.

I stamped with Konad Special Polish Black and MoYou London plate 06 (Mother Nature Collection).
