I rely on Pinterest (my profiled linked here) for the last seven days of the 31 day nail art challenge because it holds of plethora (this word is not used nearly enough in every day language) of inspiration. For today’s artwork-inspired look I used an nature photo of frozen lake bubbles. And, of course, in arthritis-friendly fashion I also relied heavily on bubble water decals!

I am very proud I’ve kept up with the 31 day nail art challenge this year but yesterday I legitemately had no intentions of posting to the blog. I knew I had to so it made me even less inclined to do it. Pretty much I was in a mood and did not feel like being productive. That’s okay, we’re all entitled to a them and as a spoonie we’re even more so!

I once again scoured my Pinterest (link here — you should follow me because I seriously love Pinterest!) and found this pretty cool pillow. Well, it’s a normal pillow with some very cool colors!

This dry-brush look took less than five minutes (yes I timed it) including fussing and perfecting but excluding base dry time. It’s so arthritis friendly because it takes minimal wrist effort and the more abstract the better which means less painstaking details.

It is also not possible for me to get through the 31 day nail art challenge without paying tribute to JRR Tolkien and Lord of the Rings. But, with my arthritis, there is no way I can do any intricate artwork so I took a page out of Alan Lee’s (the illustrator for most of the books) watercolor book and created my own. In good arthritis friendly nail art fashion, this look took me no more than ten minutes to perfect! Nifty, huh?

I used similar colors from the cover art of the Fellowship of the Ring. I dropped polish onto my nail then used acetone to fade and spread the color around.I have to say I really liked the final result. And, of course, because I couldn’t help myself I added a few dots for good measure.

How could I not do a Mean Girls inspired look for today’s 31 Day Nail Art prompt? Sometimes, it really confuses me that it turned into a global phenomenon but then again, I guess teens across the world relate to the themes.

I may be going color blind but I’m pretty sure Purple Panic (the base color) is not purple but a neon pink, right? Ah well, it’s still a fantastic polish that I will repurchase when I finish this bottle.

I hope you enjoy this look! I dropped blobs of polish on my nail then used an artist’s brush to swirl them around. I repeated the process until I was happy.

This may not be good but Taylor Swift’s new single “Look What you Made me Do” reminds me of blood and homicide. I wish I could tell you why but it does. So, for today’s 31 day nail art challenge I chose a splatter paint nail art. Those are just too fun to pass up.

We’re in the final stretch of the challenge – the inspiration days — and my Rheumatoid Arthritis is flaring so I’m a hot shaky mess. I decided to give my poor arthritic fingers a rest and relied heavily on water decals for this look.

I don’t know why but I’ve really been feeling browns and nudes this month. I don’t usually use them except to highlight colors so maybe I just feel like giving those generally unused polishes a little love!

I hope you like this look…I think I paired the colors well.

Well, it happened….The 31 Day Nail Art challenge finally affected my Rheumatoid Arthritis. My back left, my fingers swelled and caused massive shakes. Apologies in advance for not so ideal photos — my arm just couldn’t handle holding the camera…

Galaxy nail art is super easy. I love how easy it is. I sponge different colors in swirly Milky Way patterns, add a few dots and voila! A very stunning, looks-like-it-took-years- but-only-a-few-seconds nail art. Yes, I did make that a sentence.
