I am really struggling to keep on point with this challenge. The longer I am off the Orencia the more sick I feel. I will have a post on this later.
Today’s prompt is “Inspired by a Song”. Well, the one song I hear on the radio, all.the.time. (including 3 stations at the same time) is Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off”. I am going to tell you right now, I am not a Taylor Swift fan. I like a couple of her hit songs but in general I do not like her. Actually, I really dislike this song. Read on to find out why I chose it!
When I heard “Shake it Off” I immediately thought splatter-paint, which so happens to be VERY RA-friendly!
Yes, I went there. I did try to incorporate part of the song by going with a usually not so likable color combination: teal/green and purple! (I personally love it!)
I hope you like it!
I alternated Barry M GNP 14/Key Lime and Sephora by OPI Domestic Goddess as my base.
I splattered with the Barry M GNP 14/Key Lime, MNP 10/Cancun, Sephora by OPI Domestic Goddess and Milani Vivid Violet.
I topped everything with INM Northern Lights (Silver). It smeared the design a little but with splatter I guess that is ok. I’ve run out of Seche Vite. I could buy it but I am waiting on a shipment from HauteLook. I bought 3 when they were on sale for $5 each!
Hi, my name is Monica and I have RA.
Check out the other musical manicures below!
Love the splatter effect and the colors look great! I’m not a Tswift fan either – quite the opposite, in fact. However… Meghan Trainer did a ukelele cover of Shake It Off that I actually like a bit more.

Thank you! Purple and green are one of my favorite color combinations…but a lot of people don’t like it?
