When the magazines announced the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year I was a little bummed. I am more than a little certain I’ve seen this color before. It looked like “wine red” except a little more orange, which then became “burnt orange”, right? I don’t know. I am not feeling the hue of this “marsala”; it’s not a particularly attractive shade to me.
However, the main polish I used for this prompt is quite pretty and I wear it all the time! (Okay, dilemma: has anyone experienced an amazing amount of anxiety about running low on their old Milani polishes? I’m torn between using them and saving them for the end of the world).
Anyways….I hope you like my nail art!
I started with either Wet n Wild Black Creme or Milani Mauve Medley as my base.
I sugar-spun with Milani Mauve Medley and Foxy Lady.
I stamped with Black Creme and Bundle Monster plate BM 311.
Hi, my name is Monica and I have RA.

I’ve never heard the term “sugar spun” but this is gorgeous 🙂 going to google it after i finish this post! Does it take a long time to dry? Glad i’m not the only one that wasn’t impressed with the color of the year… but you are making it rock with that mani!!!

Thank you Joy!! I think I would like the color under other circumstances…
Everything about sugar-spun manicures take a long time, hehe. You have to wait for the polish to try on the surface you are using so it thickens and “spins” nicely, and just because the threads are thick it takes forever and a day to dry! I’ve ruined so many manicures because I got itchy fingers or dinged them against a table or something…but regardless, I think they are soo fun to do so I really don’t mind! 🙂
