Essie, freehand, Julie G, Nail Art, Sephora by OPI, sugar-spun, Zoya

Arctic Brrrrr! The good thing about walking dogs in the cold is they enjoy the cold even less than I do and they take as little time as possible to do their business! Woot!

I went with something simple today. Apologies on the horrendous photo…I could not for the life of me find good lighting or snap a good photo (not sure why but it came out really grainy) 😦

I really like the manicure so I decided to post it anyways!

Image

3 coats Zoya Crystal as my base.

I dabbed a generous amount of Sephora by OPI Jewelry Top Coat Lights, Glammer-A, Action! on the tips and a little down the middle of the nail.

I “sugar-spun” with Julie G White Orchid and Essie No Place Like Chrome.

Milani, Nail Art, Sephora by OPI, Zoya

I wanted to go with a subtle color shift so I sponged with similar shades.

Image

2 coats Milani Black Cherry as my base.

I used Zoya Cheryl and Sephora by OPI 212-Sephora to sponge on top.

A very sheer coat of Zoya Maria Luisa but it is totally packed with gold flakes!

Enjoy!

Image

I layered in the following order:

  • 2 coats Essie No Place Like Chrome
  • 1 thick coat Sephora by OPI I Come in Peas
  • 1 thick coat Zoya Giovanna
  • 1 thick coat Julie G White Orchid
  • 1 coat OPI Red Lights Ahead!…Where?
  • 1 coat Zoya Giovanna
  • 2 coats Zoya Cheryl

I used a mix of cotton swabs, painter’s brush, Zoya Remove and pure acetone to “scratch away” at the layers.

I love love love how this came out! Clean up was a little messy so apologies on that…but the green polishes do not want to budge 😦

Even though I was going for a Christmas-y color palette, this kind of reminds me of galaxies!

Image

I used two coats Julie G White Orchid as my base.

I “water-colored” on top with:

  • Zoya Suvi, Giovanna
  • SpaRitual Running with Wolves, Howl

I then water-marbled with:

  • Milani Black Cherry
  • Orly Bonder
  • Essie Naughty Nautical

I finished with 1 coat Seche Vite and 1 coat INM Northern Lights.
