I had so much fun making this manicure!!

I rarely eat cake but I love the idea of them. The checkered layer cakes are beyond cool and all the frostings possibilities are just fun. I can never bring myself to eat such brightly colored sugar cream but it does not mean I can’t enjoy the look of them!

For this manicure I included a checkered sponge cake and some frosting droplets. This took me a couple of hours. I did not realize it would but waiting for the polishes to dry took time.

I want to take another stab at this because I like the idea behind it. Next time, I want to make the droplets more uniform, or at least attempt to make them more uniform. It is a particularly messy endeavor and clean up is a pain, but I like how it came out.

I hope you do too!!

ImageI used 2 coats of Julie G White Orchid as my base.

I sponged Urban Outfitters Westside, Sinful Colors Chick Chick, and Julie G White Orchid to create the color for sponge cake.

I used Bundle Monster plate BM 319 and Konad Special Polish in Black.

I used Pop Beauty Pacific HootOPI Red Lights Ahead…Where?, and Color Club Almost Famous! for my frosting droplets.
