Debbie from the Crumpet changed the weekly prompts to combine them. This definitely makes it a lot easier to participate! We still use “oldies” but incorporate untrieds and nail art techniques. We may do both prompts or combine them. This week we can do a color gradient or a pink manicure. I decided to combine the two!

I hope you like it! I used both my favorite neon polishes and added some subtle stamping (I finally re-purchased Wham! Pow! so I am not struggling to use the polish anymore)! It was difficult to capture the stamping because the neons were so bright. It was definitely a little more prominent in person!

Pick n Mix - Pink Gradient

I started with 2 coats of Color Club Wham! Pow! as my base.

I used a make-up sponge and added Color Club Pucci-licious to create the gradient.

I stamped with Pueen 2013 Love Elements plate Pueen-35 and Mundo de Unas 28-Neon Orange.

I scoured my Pinterest boards for today’s fashion inspiration prompt when I happened across a Mickey Mouse jacket I saw on HonestlyWTF. I immediately decided to base my nail art on this pin because my new Mundo de Unas’ stamping plates came in and they had the perfect designs!

Initially, I wanted to layer two types of stamps to mimic the fabric’s pattern but the dark blue totally covered the lighter blue underneath. I then decided to just layer parts of the nail. Sorry for the stamp smearing, for a fast dry black this Milani polish does not dry very quickly. And I waited a good five minutes before adding top coat!

I got my new Mundo de Unas stamping polishes in the mail and wanted to try out the blue so I built the color palette around that one polish. That falls under “inspired by a color”, right?

I wanted to water-marble again and I was so happy I did! It looked like a true water marble! Now, if I could only get them in the same direction!

The type of polishes I use really make a difference. I know Sammy from the Nailasaurus typically uses Barry M polishes so I gave mine a try. Wow. They work so well! True marbling is not as RA-friendly as messy marbling since it requires more precision. I only did my middle and ring nails because my fingers and wrists are flared.

31DC2014 - September 21: Inspired by a Color | The Rite of Aging…EarlyI used 3 coats of American Apparel Parakeet as my base.

I marbled with Orly Bonder, Barry M GNP 14/Key Lime, MNP 10/Cancun, and Pop Beauty Pacific Hoot (unfortunately, Pacific Hoot got kind of eaten up when I made the rings). I sealed the designs with Seche Vite before applying a generous coat of INM Northern Lights (Silver).

I stamped with MoYou London plate 04 from the Princess collection and Mundo de Unas stamping polish 4/Blue.

I decided to for-go yesterday’s half moons prompt. I do not like half moons and I do not like how they look. They’re just not my thing and I think that’s okay!

However, I do love galaxy nail art! It is surprisingly RA-friendly. It is a bunch of sponging and layers and it does not have to be perfect.

I’ve tried cool-colored galaxies, I’ve tried multi-colored galaxies so today I tried warm-colored galaxies. I was so pleased I could use my new Pahlish and Mundo de Unas polishes!

I stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM 311 and Mundo de Unas stamping polish 41-Copper.
