Oof, don’t even get me started on why I am late to the challenge. On December 2nd, I did a very cute snowflakes look which I then proceeded to nick two hours after finishing it and before taking photos. I was so annoyed I didn’t do them again. My bad mood persisted and I fell completely behind.
Unfortunately, my mood didn’t pick up after seeing this design. I like the idea of it but I am not sure about the execution. I created a jelly-ish pigment with top coat and a drop of light blue polish. In theory, I wanted a pond snow-globe feel but in reality, it makes my hands look cold! Regardless, I hope you like it!

Guess what starts in two days?? The 12 Days of Christmas Challenge as part of the Challenge Your Nail Art group (created and hosted by the wonderful and always supportive Jessica from Be Happy and Buy Polish)!
We did it last year and it was very popular and fun for the season so we are doing it again!

Yesterday, I was at a complete loss for the ClaireStelle8 challenge on Instagram. “Purple Nails” opened the floor to absolutely anything and I had multiple ideas floating around in my head. I tried a couple out and they didn’t turn out the way I wanted; at least, not what I wanted for “purple nails”.
Eventually, I leaned back on an old favorite: a dotticure. The bright lights gleamed around my nails. Finally, after literally staring at my nails for a few hours I had a design I was proud of.

Well, I feel like I should be really proud of myself because I got through the entire challenge but this month flew by and I never once felt rushed! For the most part I had really great looks! Of course, there were times I wanted to re-do some but I certainly didn’t have the time for that during the 31 Day Challenge! I finally embraced my autoimmune and focused on RA-friendly techniques which are pretty quick!

I am going to go out on a limb here and say my favorite techniques were sugar-spin and dots? Is that too much of a stretch? Heh!

This month went by surprisingly fast. I never felt rushed or uninspired like in previous years. I focused on fast, easy RA-friendly techniques. Watermarble decals fall into this category! I’ve been meaning to try these ever since I saw Sveta Sanders’ gorgeous accent nails.
She created a bullseye in the water, let the polish dry and applied it to the nail like regular decals.

I am really happy with how these came out. I unfortunately nicked my ring finger while applying the decal to the middle finger but other than that little snag (heh) these were simple to make and apply!

For today’s prompt I used a video tutorial from Ohmygoshpolish! She did a cute splatter manicure for the fashion prompt a few days ago and I wanted to re-create it today! In the spirit of following the tutorial I used straws but I think I definitely prefer a brush.
