I am so behind on the 12 Days of Christmas challenge it’s not even funny. At the end of last week I felt lousy due to a potentially cracked rib and as the days crept by I realized I was not remotely inspired by ornaments or ugly Christmas sweaters (albeit, I already planned on skipping the ugly sweater prompt). I tried a couple of ornament looks and the designs I liked the most were too big for my nail so I opted out of that one as well. However, I want to go back and try the wrapping paper idea because I could go any which way with that prompt!
Anyways, back to today’s look. I sat down ready to start my candy cane stripes when I realized I was too picky to have mismatched stripes so I opted for dots!
I also managed a video tutorial for this look so I hope you like it!
Base: Formula X White Matter
Dots: OPI Ro-Man-ce on the Moon (light red), Guys & Galaxies (dark red)

The long anticipated day has arrived!! I finally made a video tutorial for my sugar-spin look! Rather, I finally made a video I liked enough to post! Honestly, it took a while to get the hang of using this technique at the angle I filmed at. It was nearly a complete 90 degrees different so it took some getting used to.
I talked through the tutorial and gave my best tips and tricks for creating a crisp, clean sugar-spin. I talked about everything from prep to the actual technique and clean-up (which is the most important part as it is very easy to mess up all the hard work!). One thing I did forget to mention in the video is I prefer Pond’s towelettes because they re-introduce some moisture back into my skin after using acetone!
If you have any other questions please ask them and I’ll try to answer them!
Base: Wet n Wild Black Creme
Sugar-Spin: Zoya Goldie, Formula X Nails Platinum Prime
Glitters: SinfulColors All About You, Sephora by OPI Lights, Glammer-a, Action!

Oof, don’t even get me started on why I am late to the challenge. On December 2nd, I did a very cute snowflakes look which I then proceeded to nick two hours after finishing it and before taking photos. I was so annoyed I didn’t do them again. My bad mood persisted and I fell completely behind.
Unfortunately, my mood didn’t pick up after seeing this design. I like the idea of it but I am not sure about the execution. I created a jelly-ish pigment with top coat and a drop of light blue polish. In theory, I wanted a pond snow-globe feel but in reality, it makes my hands look cold! Regardless, I hope you like it!
Base: Emily de Molly Candy Coated
Stamping: Bundle Monster BM319, Zoya Haven, Sally Hansen Blue My Mind
Glitter: SinfulColors Ice Dream diluted with top coat.
