I had this cool idea to do a dotticure, top coat it, then saran-wrap black on top. I think it might have looked really cool but when I actually finished the base, I did not want to cover it up at all! I used varying red and pinks but the finished look kind of reminds me of chocolates, somehow!
So…for the fourth prompt of this month’s Challenge Your Nail Art…I present my Valentine’s Day dotticure!
I hope you like it!
I started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Petal Pusher as my base.
I dotted with OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, Dance Legend 373, Barry M Gelly Grapefruit and Milani (new) Spotlight White.

I had no clear vision for this nail art. All I knew was I wanted to do a dotticure stamping combination. Almost a year ago I attempted a neon combination and I was crazy about it (linked here). Since then, this double combo has become a favorite technique of mine.
Previous trends prevail and Saachi still serves as my inspiration for my manicures. I am pleased because the last time I tried this stamp I had a lot of trouble transferring the image to the stamper. This time it worked with my favorite stamping polish!
I started with 2 coats of Dance Legend 373 as my base. I loved how this color looked on me! I can’t wait to wear it again!
I dotted with Milani Mauve Medley, Sephora by OPI Mr. Right Now, and Color Club Warhol.
I stamped with Essie No Place Like Chrome and a Pueen Cosmetics plate from the Love Elements collection.

I made this on Sunday because I planned on rock-climbing Monday night after work. Of course, I forgot to post it until today. Whoops. I think it still counts I stayed on track! Just forgot about the whole blog thing, is all!
I go through phases with dotting. Sometimes, it is all I want to do, other times, I could not care less about it. Unfortunately, I am going through the latter. Although, I figured this was the best time to use those textured polishes collecting dust on my shelf.
What do you think? Does this look work? I am kind of luke-warm to it.
I started with 3 coats of Emily de Molly Candy Coated. This polish applies like a dream. It self-levels, great opacity. Awesome polish.
I dotted with Julie G Gumdrops Gift of Gold, Sally Hansen Sugar Shimmer Taffy Tart, and Essie On a Silver Platter.

The Challenge Your Nail Art group is hosting another challenge! This week we honor Thanksgiving and Fall. I am beyond bummed I missed yesterday’s prompt (fall leaves) because I had a great idea but I was so flared up life was too hard. I think I will re-visit the theme later, though. Honestly, I did not think I was going to participate in any of the prompts except yesterday’s but as I was inspired by a stamping image from my Pueen plate.
At the beginning of “fall” Trader Joe’s sold an assortment of pumpkin flavored everything. One of my favorites was the seasonal pumpkin chai mix. I already was a fan of the traditional chai mix and the pumpkin added a little seasonal flair.
I had a very specific color in mind for the base but did not have the matching nail polish. I mixed two and they turned out exactly how I wanted it to.
I hope you like it!
I started with 3 coats of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Short Cir-cute and 1 generous coat of OPI Pros & Bronze as my base.
I stamped and dotted with Milani Dark Coffee and Pueen Cosmetics plate PUEEN30.

I am not going to lie I’m super excited Halloween is over. As you know I’m not the biggest fan of this “holiday” and always feel pretty uninspired when it comes to nail art. Even though it is November, I cannot wait to get started on my December themed nail art. Prepare yourself for snowflakes, snow globes, whimsy and overall good cheer!
Winter is an interesting season for me. It is my favorite time of year but with the RA it is also a very difficult time of year. I choose to focus on the “favorite”.
I am itching to start my holiday nail art but I should pay tribute to Thanksgiving and fall so today I have a simple nonuniform dotticure for you. I hope you like it!
I started with two coats of SpaRitual Howl as my base.
I used butter London Tea with the Queen, China Glaze Sun Worshiper, and OPI Pros and Bronze for the detailing.

I always fall behind during this challenge but I wanted to catch up because I had the perfect inspiration! A friend of mine made this awesome background for one of her art pieces. It is everything I love: color, neon, “splodging”, irregular dots…this piece is just cool! You should check out Bridgette’s Instagram, she is extraordinarily talented. I am and always have been in awe (and slightly jealous, hah!) of her artistic ability. The picture below links to her Instagram!
Her Instagram handle is thechairmanzou.
Take a look at her artwork, it is beyond amazing!
I definitely did not do this piece justice, but I had so much fun doing it. I am not sure I would call it RA-friendly because working with the eyeshadow applicator is a bit tedious but the abstract result doesn’t need to pristine. You decide!
I hope you like it! (I especially like how the pinky and ring finger turned out)
I started with 1 coat of Milani Spotlight White as my base.
I detailed with a dotting tool, a sponge-tip eyeshadow applicator and the following polishes:
I wanted a matte effect but not completely so I used Cult Nails Wax That! It gives a matte, wax finish that kind of glistens but is not shiny or flat.
