Oof, don’t even get me started on why I am late to the challenge. On December 2nd, I did a very cute snowflakes look which I then proceeded to nick two hours after finishing it and before taking photos. I was so annoyed I didn’t do them again. My bad mood persisted and I fell completely behind.
Unfortunately, my mood didn’t pick up after seeing this design. I like the idea of it but I am not sure about the execution. I created a jelly-ish pigment with top coat and a drop of light blue polish. In theory, I wanted a pond snow-globe feel but in reality, it makes my hands look cold! Regardless, I hope you like it!

The blog was pretty quiet last week because of the Thanksgiving holiday but I did manage a few looks!
I really got into the swing of winter nail art with a fun pink snow globe look.
I tried my hand at a Christmas needle marble!
And, I created a video tutorial for the last shred of autumn greenery!

Guess what starts in two days?? The 12 Days of Christmas Challenge as part of the Challenge Your Nail Art group (created and hosted by the wonderful and always supportive Jessica from Be Happy and Buy Polish)!
We did it last year and it was very popular and fun for the season so we are doing it again!

Next week I will take part in the Challenge Your Nail Art “12 Days of Christmas” extravaganza so I will not post any more autumnal looks. I realized I had done the typical fall colors and leaves nail art but I had completely ignored green! There are still remnants of green leaves and the grass remains vibrant so I decided to do a simple stamping and glitter look…with a video tutorial!

In case you missed any posts here is quick roundup of the past week!
I started my winter nail art early with stamped snowflakes over a simple gradient!
I stayed in the fall mood with some freehand leaves!
Not a lot of time goes by without a fun dotticure!
And, I posted my first ever video tutorials! One for a saran-wrap mani and one for an autumnal waterfall look!
I finished the week with an icy blue striping manicure.

I always wanted to try the marble drag technique because it looked abstract and RA-friendly but never got around to it. I used the Formula X Infinite Ombre kit because the green, red sheer tints blended so well together and really popped over the silver base. And, of course, no nail art is complete without snowflakes so I added them for good measure!
I did not have very good luck with a toothpick because I pressed to hard and brought up the base color so I used the tip of a paintbrush. I ended up with a Picasso swirl but I still got the gist of the needle drag.
