I initially wanted to do this for the third theme of the Nail Polish Canada competition but I do not know if I really want to submit it.

It is exactly what I was going for, but something just does not look right.

 

I love peppermint bark. I love love love it, but I really only eat it during the holidays.

I used 2 coats Julie G White Orchid followed by 1 coat Revlon Parfumerie Fresh Linen.

I sponged with Milani Dark Coffee.

I finished with red and clear microbeads as the peppermint pieces.

I do not have to see my doctor for another two months! TWO! Count ’em: TWO! And I do not have to see my gastroenterologist for THREE MONTHS! Count ’em: THREE!

Okay, I do not know if that really has any real significance but in my head it means: no blood work, no keeping a close eye on me, no co-payment!

It may seem I am getting better. I might be. However, I think I finally hit a plateau. I may not be getting better but more importantly, I am not getting worse. Which means, I am managing!

I would really like to be better, but hey, at this point, I will take what I can get!

I am still having trouble with my fingers and wrists, fine motor skills seem to evade me sometimes. But I manage to push through.

The only thing my doctor is not pleased about is I went from 8mg to 11mg of prednisone. I should have stayed at 8mg or hopefully even 7mg! Given I cannot lower the pred right now (I will totally lose function of my hands), I will start a bone-calcium supplement prescription thing (can you tell I have not researched this medication yet? :P). I need to get an exo-scan and I will be all set!

Plateau! Yay!

I wanted to do some sponging and picked some polishes. Before I knew it, I had a globe manicure!

Flashback Friday: Tricky Tricksters

They all know the usual commands: sit, stay, come, go away. 

But I taught each one a special trick. 

Marmalade “says please” if she wants me to feed her. (So it is more of a yowl but it is a very specific meow)

Sunsilk “kisses” on command. This is a sweet little touch-nose!

Affie “wipes her paws” on the rug before entering the house. This is an on-command full body shake which she only does on a rug or towel! When she is feeling lazy she’ll shake water all over the hardwood, which I so lovingly clean up. 

Saachi “knocks” on the door. This in retrospect was a bad idea. Every front door to every house we have ever taken her to has some very permanent scratch marks! …Whoops 🙂 

They are all extremely different and they all have their special little ways!

This is not really a decoration but it reminds me of it!

My Serum No 5 “Happy Special Day” came in the mail and I am so excited for it! I almost did not want to use it because I love it so much. This is my favorite polish EVER. It makes me really happy!!

For the base I used 2 coats Zoya Giovanna.

On my thumb and ring finger I used a sheer-ish coat Essie On a Silver Platter and 1 coat Serum No 5 Forest Lights. I realized I cannot really tell the Serum polish over the Essie because the glitters look similar. The purple glitters are Essie and the green and blue are from the Serum No 5 polish.

On the other nails I used one coat and the dabbing method to spread Serum No 5 Happy Special Day! EEK! I love love love this polish so much! It is jam packed with glitter and every nail, every time looks different! I was pleasantly surprised to find square large glitters! (On the other hand). I rave about this polish and I love wearing it. All. The. Time. Pictures never do it justice!
