Check the sidebar for more information and a link to the Facebook group.

This is a little late because I was focusing on the 31-Day Challenge but I felt inspired to do a second manicure yesterday. This month is going to be a little difficult because I do not own any true lilac or teal polishes. As you can tell I cheated and used a sea foam green or “light teal” as I call it!

I hope you like it!

Tri-Polish Tuesday - September, Week One | The Rite of Aging…EarlyI started with 3 coats of Deborah Lippman Mermaid’s Dream as my base.

I used a makeup sponge, Deborah Lippman Mermaids Dream, Milani Power Periwinkle, and Nails Inc. Foubert’s Place.

I sealed the gradient with INM Out the Door.

I stamped with Konad Special Polish White and MoYou London plate 02 from the Time Traveler’s Back to the 80’s collection.

This month passed at a snail-pace. I’ve always had a problem with August but time really slowed down. I am thrilled there is only one week left.

Here is my manicure for this week’s TPC. I had to re-do all my nails except for the accent because they became cluttered. I started with a dotticure and added clouds. It was too much and looked horrendous. I could not even look at the pictures. I went back and just did clouds and it came out way better.

DSCF0614_fotorI used 2 coats of Color Club Almost Famous as my base.

I stamped with Milani Black Swift and MoYou London plate 06 (from the Mother Nature collection). On the stamper, I layered Wet n Wild I Red a Good Book, Anise Make Waves and a generous coat of Seche Vite to seal the design. After it dried, I applied it to the nail and added clouds with Julie G White Orchid.

I seal everything with Seche Vite.

I did this manicure yesterday but by the time I took and edited the pictures it was 11:30 and I was too tired to write a corresponding post.

I wanted something quick and relatively RA-easy so I went with a simple dotticure. Unfortunately, as the Orencia fades, my fingers are getting more and more shaky and weak. Yay for non-uniform dots! #RAfriendlynailart.

I toyed with using the same polishes as last week since I like primary colors together but then I decided to go neon…of course.

It was not until way after finishing this manicure I got that nagging feeling telling me I had done this manicure before. Thankfully, I haven’t but I did do something similar for another TPT back in April! (linked here) I am not happy with that nail art and think today’s came out much better!

I hope you think so too!

DSCF0525_fotorI used 3 coats of American Apparel Neon Yellow as my base.

I dotted with American Apparel  Neon Red and Pop Beauty  Pacific Hoot.

Let’s not even get into the quality of the photos today. I apologize, my camera does not seem to capture whites well! I couldn’t get the lighting right and I couldn’t fix it! I am also not feeling to great, I wrecked myself climbing yesterday and now am paying for it. Not to mention, my cuticles went from bad to worse and the skin is peeling off my hands. Actual peeling. My body feels dehydrated but I am drinking enough water, getting enough electrolytes. Oof, my body is one hot mess right now. Most of the skin off my lips has peeled off and now they’re bleeding. I just feel off.

Anyways, now that I have gone way past TMI lets get on to the nail art. Because I feel so wonky, I needed to do a design that was easy on the RA. What better way than splatter painting? I do not even touch the nail for that! Fun, easy, quick. And guess what? I actually photographed my left hand. This is unheard of as the last time I did was my very first nail art a year ago. I found waiting for the polish to thicken added to the splatter effect so my left hand came out way better than my right.

Please ignore my awful skin and pictures…but I hope you like the nail art! I am pretty pleased with how it came out.

Check out the sidebar for more information.

Yesterday marked a new month in the TPC! I am excited about this month as I especially love the color combination!

For this week’s manicure I decided on the “Nimbus” technique. I remember seeing a similar design…somewhere…I think it might have been a phone’s wallpaper but if it is someone’s nail art idea please let me know so I can credit them appropriately!

I really like the Nimbus technique but I can only get one, maybe two dots per side of the Q-tip before it loses its shape. Is there a way around that? Otherwise, it is a great abstract technique suitable for RA-shaky hands!

DSCF0022_fotorI used 3 coats of Julie G White Orchid and Seche Vite as my base.

I detailed with q-tips, pure acetone, Color Club Twiggie, Poptastic, and Milani Vivid Violet.

I need to stop using this base color! It really does not do anything for my skin tone but I reach for it every time! I am finally getting the hang of this water marble thing and my designs actually look like true water-marbles! Now, if I could only re-create the same look for each nail…

ImageI used 2 coats of butter London Tea with the Queen as my base.

I marbled with Orly Bonder, China Glaze Fuchsia, and Pop Beauty Pacific Hoot.
