I love doing freehand fire nails. There is something really fun about them and because of this reason alone I decided to paint today’s flames!

I would definitely consider these RA-friendly. Even though I had to wield an artist’s brush I did not have to be too precise with the detail work! A win for RA-ridden hands!

…or vampire bats!

I hope you like my manicure today!

Bundle Monster 30 Days of Screams - Vampire | The Rite of AgingI used 1 coat of Essie No Place Like Chrome as my base.

I saran-wrapped with Nails Inc. Foubert’s Place. (I almost did it the other way around and caught myself! If you own the Essie polish you know how annoying clean-up is!)

I stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM 301 and Konad Special Polish Black.

I detailed with Milani Black Swift.

Check the sidebar for more information and a link to the Facebook group.

This is a little late because I was focusing on the 31-Day Challenge but I felt inspired to do a second manicure yesterday. This month is going to be a little difficult because I do not own any true lilac or teal polishes. As you can tell I cheated and used a sea foam green or “light teal” as I call it!

I hope you like it!

Tri-Polish Tuesday - September, Week One | The Rite of Aging…EarlyI started with 3 coats of Deborah Lippman Mermaid’s Dream as my base.

I used a makeup sponge, Deborah Lippman Mermaids Dream, Milani Power Periwinkle, and Nails Inc. Foubert’s Place.

I sealed the gradient with INM Out the Door.

I stamped with Konad Special Polish White and MoYou London plate 02 from the Time Traveler’s Back to the 80’s collection.

I am not going to lie…I love how this came out. It is super cute and fun. I cannot stop looking at my hands! The stamping could be better but this afternoon I could not even fill out a simple UPS DHL slip without my fingers getting stuck and painful. My hands went past shaky right to pulsating so I expected the worst when I lift the stamper. It smeared the base but I was totally okay with that today! (The top coat masked the flaw! Yay!)

I hope you like my GOT manicure this week. Since my Nails Inc. glitter has blue and pink glitter I went with a gender symbol design. When I flipped through my stamping plates I knew it was perfect with the other colors!

DSCF0539_fotorI used 3 coats of Nails Inc. Sprinkles Sweets Way (thumb, index, pinky) and 2 coats of Milani Peacock (ring) and Zoya Reece (middle) as my bases. To bring the blue creme and pink shimmer together I added a generous coat of Sally Hansen Color Frenzy Candy Drops and 1 coat of INM Holographic Top Coat – Silver.

I stamped with butter London Cotton Buds and Bundle Monster plate BM 310. The butter London polish became so thick after a few uses I could no longer stand it as a base. I reserved the remainder for stamping and it worked really well!

I sealed everything with 2 coats of Seche Vite because the glitter ate the first coat!

Today’s theme for Bundle Monster’s 30 day challenge is sprinkles! I thought it would be fitting to use one of my “sprinkle” nail polishes and some spun sugar!

ImageI used 2 coats Julie G White Orchid as my base. On the middle and ring finger I also added 1 coat of Nails Inc. Sprinkles Sweets Way and 1 coat of Serum No. 5 Happy Special Day!

I stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM 322 and Konad Special Polish in Black.

I sugar-spun with Milani Vivid Violet and Peacock.

Gnarly Gnails’ Neverending Pile Challenge – Polish Trend That Died Before You Wore It

Nail Art, Nails Inc, neverending pile challenge, review

Yay for spotty participation in this challenge! But, as you know, I rarely own untrieds since I cannot help but play with new nail polishes! However, when the challenge started I noticed a few prompts I wanted to take part in so I refrained from using certain polishes.

A few months ago, I noticed the Nails Inc. Feathers Effect polishes were on sale at the Sephora website. They looked interesting and I had nothing like them. Since the originally $11.00 polishes were on sale for $5.00 I excitedly put one in my basket.

After months, there is still one color left. Is that any indication of how well this trend did?

Regardless of this challenge, I never have occasion to use this topper. It is an extremely odd polish. On the nail, the bar pieces appear hairy. The affect does not add to the manicure. I can see why this trend never made it.

That being said, the formula is great. I am an avid fan of Nails. Inc polishes and this polish does not disappoint. The clear base is thin and easy to manipulate. The feathers are dense and I did not have to fish for them in the bottle. The best part of all? They self-level! A win of a formula.

ImageI used 3 coats of Nails Inc. Sprinkles Pudding Lane as my base.

I concentrate Nails Inc. Feathers York at the cuticles and brushed towards the tips.

I went with a simple glitter gradient and stamping look tonight since I will be working at the climbing gym all weekend and my nails will definitely chip! Glitter gradients are extremely arthritis-friendly looks because they don’t take a lot of precision or dexterity!
