Given my life has been swallowed whole by thoughts of health and wellness, you would think I’d be all over this NAIL challenge…but somehow, I was totally at a loss.

Sure, there are the pills, needles, IVs and good diet…I could go on!  But I just could not think of any ideas. So, I tried a different approach  to inspiration:

Over the past year I’ve felt loads better. What is different? (apart from the meds)

Water.

Oral medications sit in the stomach and are rarely fully digested. I drink a lot more water just to flush out my tummy! Since I started this little trick, my stomach issues have decreased!! 🙂

This is my submission for the Crumpet’s Golden Oldie Thursday Polish Challenge!

These are the only polishes I’ve had over a year…I know, I know…even though I have not been blogging that long, I have always loved nail polish. However, I do a “polish cleanse” every six months or so and get rid of polishes with changed consistencies!

Enjoy! A simple water-color but I love how this came out!

I am not sure whether this challenge is open to everyone but I saw it first on Vic & Her Nails!

I was inspired by the prompt so I decided to do a manicure for it, regardless! 🙂

The light in the room where I usually take my photos is slowly losing juice so I’m wandering around my house trying to find the best lighting. Please hang in there with me for a little while!

On my day off there was a Scooby-Doo marathon! Best day off. Ever.

During the 31-Day Challenge back in September I did a Scooby-inspired manicure, seen here. I really liked how it came out so I decided to revisit it.

I did not want to copy it exactly but it is very similar!

I initially only added the matte coat to the pinky and I loved loved loved how it looked so I decided to go with all of them. I only really like how the pinky came out. I should have kept the rest glittery. Ah well.

Flashback Friday: A New Level of Herd Mentality

I  keep a litter box downstairs, in my bathroom, because sometimes Sunsilk is too lazy to go upstairs and will pee on the rug. Yeah, I know, she is a total brat but what can I do when she acts out?

She started following me into the bathroom and using the litter box at the same time as I did.

I thought this was one of Sunsilk’s strange quirks, however, according to the above link, this is relatively normal. My speculation is it has something to with herd mentality and safety in numbers.

With that said, I have never ever seen or even heard of the following!

 

About a month ago, Affie followed Sunsilk and me into the bathroom. Sunsilk was urinating in the litter box (thankfully!) and Affie tried to crawl in with her.

Words cannot even explain what Affie did. I do not think she was trying to push her out, I think she wanted to be close to Sunsilk. Sunsilk was not too pleased. Since she was peeing she really could not do much but she definitely gave Affie the “WTF are you doing?!”

This was probably the strangest thing I have ever seen my pets do. I mean, of all the things, a dog crawling in with a cat into the litter box. I just do not know. I…I mean…what?

I knew they were close but I never thought they were THAT close!

3 coats Essie Tart Deco. Awful, awful polish. It is really tacky and thick and overall just gross. 

1 coat Nails Inc. Sprinkles Special Effects Sweets Way on my ring finger.

Gingerbread water decals from Born Pretty Store and dots in Julie G White Orchid.

I do not know if other people have this problem but whenever I apply top coat the decals smear like mad?

1 coat Essie On a Silver Platter on my ring finger. 

1 coat Sinful Colors Nail Junkie over all nails. It is an extremely sheer jelly and sort of turned the Sephora polish a little more turquoise. I love how it looks on the ring finger.

1 coat Serum No 5 Happy Special Day!

Decal from Born Pretty Store. I was a little nervous about how it would look because the colors did not match but it came out really cute!
